Youth of the Year is the highest award we give to a club member, and celebrates the extraordinary achievements of our teen leaders. This year, 17 clubs from across Wisconsin held regional competitions, with each sending one exceptional young adult to become State Youth of the Year. That winner will go on to serve as an ambassador for over 125,800 club members across Wisconsin, and compete at the Midwest & National level.
Since 2016, several stellar Home Team Champions including the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Operating Engineers #139 have sponsored $25,000 in scholarships, with each of the regional champions all receiving a portion of the awards.
Our MC is Bianca Martin, an audio journalist and host of the award-winning, daily news talk podcast City Cast Madison. She served as Senior Producer of "Our Body Politic”, worked on Nat Geo and NPR programs including 1A, and is a proud alumna of the West-Central Wisconsin Boys & Girls Club in Baraboo.
