Want to help make an impact in Wisconsin? Ask your elected officials to continue TANF Funding for Club Youth, and support after school grants at Department of Children & Families (DCF) in the state budget.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Wisconsin serve more than 125,800 kids in every corner of the state, across 203 sites in 77 comunities. Whether it's improving academic achievement, building career skills, reducing juvenile crime, or keeping kids off opioids, Clubs are the answer to many of the problems we currently face.

I encourage you to support TANF funding in the state budget that funds crucial programs like Be Great Graduate and Wisconsin After 3. It is a down payment on our future, and every dollar invested in the Clubs returns $10.32 in earnings and cost-savings to the state and local communities.

We are already paying for our lack of past investment when we house youth at Lincoln HIlls, pay unemployment compensation, build more prisons, and don't have enough workers to fill good local jobs. Club kids of today are the workforce of tomorrow. We save money later when we invest now.

Whether a kid dreams of becoming an astronaut or an engineer, a nurse, or a welder, our local Boys & Girls Club help them become their dream. At 203 Club sites across Wisconsin, professionals provide a safe, fun experience so young people can reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. This is not a side benefit, it's the very mission of the organization.
